The International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) offers two home dialysis education programs for nephrologists, radiologists and surgeons annually in Tampa, Florida to learn PD Catheter insertion. Dates, locations and registration information for upcoming sessions are included at the specific web sites below. Sponsors include Wake Forest University School of Medicine and the ISPD.

Theses courses are planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Wake Forest School of Medicine and the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis.
This is a two-day course that includes didactic courses/lectures, hands-on experience, and lab sessions for healthcare professionals.

A continuing education course for practicing nephrologists, radiologists, surgeons, and nurses interested in setting up a non-surgical PD catheter insertion program. Due to the hands-on nature of this program, the number of participating physicians is limited to six (6). The number of assisting nurses is also limited to six (6).

This is a two-day, high-tech simulation course that offers physicians hands-on experience with PD catheter insertions. Attendees will learn both the unguided and the ultrasound-guided techniques. On day one, attendees will be in the anatomy lab at McMaster University to review the relevant human anatomy before proceeding to practice insertions on human cadavers in the afternoon. On day two, attendees will continue to practice insertions in the wet lab, hosted by the Centre for Minimal Access Surgery (CMAS).
